| | YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LIBRARY CARD WITH YOU TO CHECK OUT.
Your valid Germantown Community Library card entitles you to:
 | Check out materials from Washington County libraries: Germantown Community Library, West Bend Community
Memorial Library, Hartford Public Library, Kewaskum Public Library, and Slinger Public Library. |
 | Check out materials through the Mid-Wisconsin Library System/SHARE. |
 | Check out materials through Inter-Library Loan (ILL). |
You are responsible for materials borrowed on your card. If your card is lost
or stolen, please call the Germantown Community Library at 262-253-7760.
Patrons may hold only one valid Germantown Community Library/SHARE Card.
Who may obtain a Germantown Community Library card:
 | Residents of the following library systems are eligible to obtain a
Germantown Community Library card: Mid-Wisconsin, Eastern Shores, Waukesha
County, South Central, Winnefox, Manitowoc-Calumet, Outagamie-Waupaca and
Nicolet. |
 | Any Milwaukee County student enrolled in the Germantown School District as
part of the Chapter 220 program. |
 | Residents of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Brookfield, WI, are limited to a
check-out of two (2) items. |
How to apply for a Library card:
 | You must apply in person at the Germantown Community Library. |
 | Adult applicants (age 18 and above) must present identification
showing their current address i.e., driver's license, checkbook, utility
bill, student I.D. |
 | Children wanting to register for a Library card must be able to write
their full name legibly or be in kindergarten. The custodial parent is required to
sign his/her child's Library card application. |
If you lose your card:
 | There is a $3.00 charge to replace lost cards. Replacement cards will be
issued only if all fines/fees paid. Library cards, including replacement cards,
will NOT be issued to anyone who cannot present proper identification. |
You MUST have your library card with you in order to check out.
